“Having been taught by Sue
for two years, I can attest that her lessons are the nearest you can
get to Spain whilst still being in the UK. Lessons are tailored to
individual tastes – be it with a focus towards exams; or more
personal subjects (literature, architecture etc.) – and Sue has a
comprehensive knowledge of most areas in the Spanish domain. She was
excellent in pointing out subtle details in the Gabriel García
Márquez book I was studying, for example, and was particularly
perceptive in explaining some themes which are more difficult for a
Western and non-Spanish-speaking reader to understand. Sue was
always willing to prepare lessons on topics I was directly intrigued
by, often researching them so thoroughly that she overstepped the
bounds of being a mere Spanish teacher, and could easily pass for a
history teacher! Not forgetting her persistence in correcting my
grammar and accent, which has been exceedingly helpful and has
helped me greatly in maintaining conversations with other native
speakers. Overall, Sue was a true asset to my A level Spanish
course, but also in stimulating an appreciation of Spanish culture
as a whole”

“I have really enjoyed
speaking lessons with you (they were my only favourite lessons in my
whole timetable.) Lessons with you are productive yet calm as well.
You managed to cover the syllabus with me but we also had casual
off-topic conversations. Personally I feel that that not only helps
me prepare for the exams but it generally expanded my knowledge of
Spanish. I also really like the fact that you are quite strict and
blunt which doesn't give me a false idea of my knowledge of Spanish.
Even though I may not have liked reading out the same passage five
times, in the end your persistency and honesty helped me improve my
tone when speaking Spanish. You're also interesting as a teacher
because you have quite different methods of teaching. I still keep
the little story you gave me which helped me work on my tone by
reading out loud all the different emotions.
Thank you so much for all your help over the past two years”

“I think you're a very kind
person at heart and understands the difficulties with writing and
speaking a foreign language, you come across as a very stern
teacher, however in lots of ways its a great motivation to try to
make you become less stern so I would say don't change!!!!”

"Dear Ms Bravo
May I take this opportunity to thank you
for the excellent translation services you have been providing us
with in our dealings with you over the last five years.
Your accurate and intelligent translations
have proved to be truly valuable to us in our specialised dealings
with organisations and people who show interest in our creative arts
from such diverse locations as the South Americas, Spain and various
other
español regions.
You have, most importantly, picked up on
colloquialisms and phraseology which our translation software has
completely
overlooked. You have managed to make sense of what would
otherwise have read like
Gobbledygook to us if we had to rely on
translation software alone.
To us this is a prime and most important element in translation
arrangements, as a wrongly interpreted word or phrase can mean
something illogical and completely inappropriate in our dealings on
a worldwide basis.
Your quick response to our translation
needs and your very agreeable price structure has proved to be a
real boon to us over the five years that we have been using your
translation services.
We look forward to many more years of happy
interaction between our own organisation and your splendid
translation services.
